As per DepEd memorandum no 155, s. 2013 the National Teacher’s Month and World Teacher’s Day celebration should start on September 5 to October 5, 2013.
The celebration aims to:
- Highlight the unique role, service, and commitment that teachers play in guiding families, strengthening communities, and building the nation;
- Revitalize the image of and respect for teaching as a vocation by increasing the public awareness on the value of teachers in the Phillippine society and in national development;
- Use the occasion to encourage everyone to contribute in making teaching an attractive profession and in giving teachers the needed support and assistance;
- Generate widespread support for teachers in particular and for education in general; and
- Express sincere gratitude for the positive influences of teachers on Filipino learners.
With these beneficial program from the national level, teaching staffs of Sto. Niño Biaan Elementary immediately plans for the celebration and come out with the majority decision to conduct a simple program within the school premises and team building among the group.
