The History

The European Missionaries came to Mariveles with the purpose of putting up schools for the Native Aetas, teaching them how to read and write and much more on how to live sociably with the rest of the tribes and get to know themselves that they are part of the society.

Mayor Angel Peliglorio and Oliva Isip, the village-in-charge joined hands in putting up a primary school which was subsidized financially by the Missionaries themselves so much so that the school was named after  their Religious Organization – Saint James Morphet Aeta School in 2002.
